Vance Alexander Goodman

Vance "Jack" Alexander Goodman, 87 formerly of Concord, passed away Monday, February 27 at Charlotte Health and Rehabilitation Center. Memorial service will be 2pm Saturday, March 11 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Darrell Norris, the family will receive friends beginning at 1pm prior to the service. Mr. Goodman was born March 11, 1929 in Stanly County, son of the late Lawson A. Goodman and Minnie Almond Goodman. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church. He was a lifelong truck driver, loved automobiles and a good joke. He was preceded in death by his wives Merlie Hurlocker Goodman and Mamie Canup Goodman. He is survived by a son, Van Goodman and wife Susan of Charlotte and a sister Clara Lee Trexler of Gold Hill.
