Walter Shore

Walter Ray Shore, 90 of Hwy 49, Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Tucker Hospice House. Funeral service will be 10:00am Friday at First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Tom Fleming, burial will follow at the Blevins Cemetery in Shady Valley, TN. The Shore family will receive friends from 6-7:30pm Thursday evening at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Shore was born July 3, 1921 in Watauga County, son of the late Millard Shore and Kelly Shore. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, and was a WWII US Army Veteran. He was a devoted husband and father and is survived by his wife Murlee Shore, son Mike Shore of Jacksonville, NC, step son Dan Austin, grandchildren Kristi White and Belinda Settle and husband Tom, great grandson Austin Settle all of Mt.
