Wanda Roberson Hartsell

Wanda Roberson Hartsell, 65, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at Tucker Hospice House on Friday, July 21, 2017.

A celebration of Wanda’s life will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Entombment  will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The Hartsell family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m.   

A native of Stanly County, Wanda was born to Reid L. Roberson and Eda Furr Roberson on July 28, 1951. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Eudy, and two grandchildren, Jacob Hartsell and Mary Hartsell.

Formerly a clerk for the Town of Mt. Pleasant, Wanda was also a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, growing and arranging flowers, reading her Bible and camping with family. An exceptional caregiver, Wanda enjoyed meeting people and helping them in ways that eased their journeys because of her service. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Albemarle.

Wanda is survived by her husband Toby Hartsell, of the home; a son, Brian Hartsell and wife, Diane; a daughter, Wendy Prichard and husband, Spencer; three grandsons, Joshua Hartsell, Elijah Prichard and Troy Prichard; an uncle Sam Roberson, an aunt Marie Misenheimer and a host of nieces and nephews.
