William I. Wetter

William I. Wetter, 86, of Concord, passed away, Monday, November 17, 2025 at his residence.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Friday, Nov 21, at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Jim Strickland. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm prior to the service.

William was born December 26, 1938 in Cabarrus County son of the late Paul Wetter and Vida Hatley Wetter. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, Concord. He was retired custodian at Mount Pleasant High School. He enjoyed gardening and his dog “Scooby”. He was the youngest of ten children.

He is survived by his wife Jean Little Wetter; daughter Penni O’Quinn, stepdaughter, Shelia Walter (Freddy); thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
